A Wonderful life

photos and stuff, but mostly photos
Long time not blog

Wow, it's been a long time! It's spring time and life is busy. The girls are outside ALL DAY. Well, I guess mostly just Eva. Eva could live outside, I think. Isabel is in and out of the house all day.

What's new? not much, but it has been forever since I blogged. Eva--she is done with threes school. The year went by so fast. SHe loved school a lot, and she has learned a lot of spanish. She doesn't speak a whole lot yet, but she understands a lot. Her teachers were awesome too!. She is really in to trying to spell things lately, She knows how to spell Bible and her name, so she thinks she's pretty cool. She picks random letter and asks me what she just spelled. The words she spells aren't even words for the most part. At least she tries I guess. :) She is a very smart girl, and she is so sweet. She loves her little sister. She loves Isabel too, but she likes to yell at her too. But, if I'm honest, she yells at Isabel for good reason. Isabel knows exactly how to push her buttons.  She turns 4 on June 15--I can't even  believe it! My baby is not a baby anymore.

Isabel--The girl is hilarious! SHe sings ALL THE TIME!! She isn't really all that shy at all. She'll sing for anyone. :) She makes up her own songs, which are very repetitive. She tries to be like her big sister and speak Spanish, but it's not there yet. :) She is a rebel. She tries to get away with as much as she can without getting in trouble. SHe knows just how to make her sister cry or how to make her scream. Isabel can be so sweet, when she chooses to be. She is very excited to go to Spanish school next year. OH yeah, I don't think I posted it on here, but SHE IS POTTY TRAINED!! Woo hoo!! She still wears a pull up at bedtime, but for the most part she wakes up dry! Isabel is also the girliest girl that I have. SHe loves to have her hair curled, "make up" on, nails painted, dressed in a dress with sparkle shoes--you name it. The girl is girly! Most of the time she is a princess and we have to call her by her princess name. She has a great imagination!!

Lucia--She is a honey. She is a lot like her sister Eva. We are in the middle of cutting bottles out of her day, and for the most part she does well. She still takes a morning and afternoon nap, otherwise the girl is a mess! She thinks Eva is hilarious!! SHe loves to eat and she is not at all picky like her older sisters. SHe out eats Isabel all the time, and sometimes Eva. She is talking a little bit. SHe can say Dog, woof woof, Eva, up, down, momma, dada, cracker, and I think a couple more words but I can't think of them at the moment. SHe just started walking!! Hooray for Lulu! She is starting to become a pro at going down stairs, which is nice. I am not a fan of having the gate by the stairs all the time. She is a climber!! The girl climbs on everything!! She is a honey pie, and she has a way of make us all laugh. Everything she does is cute, and her big sisters are in love with her. They are always showing her off to teachers, friends, or strangers at the store.

The girls are amazing!  I am really enjoying the stage that they are in---so much fun.

Dino--Is amazing! Praise the Lord he still has work to do. :) He has a lot of work to get done and it's fun to hear about what he's doing because he really enjoys going it. Nothing much has changed with him. STill a great dad, and the girls still love to have Daddy home ALL DAY on the weekends. He is still an awesome husband, and lately an awesome griller.

Me--Still doing what I love to do, and I Get to be home with my kiddos when I am not working I recently took some pictures for brochures and for billboards, so that was kinda cool to see. I think there were 4 billboards in total and I saw them all while driving by. I kinda had to do a double take when driving by. :) Right now, MY computer is broke so I'm stuck using Eva's. I can't download picture or anything. It's kinda of driving me a little batty. Dino is going to build me a new one, so hopefully it will be here early next week!

Ok, so there is a LONG update on us, We are still around, just busy, as I'm sure most people are this time of year. I hope everyone is doing well.
Did you hear that loud noise last night?

'Cause it was ME ...snoring and sleeping like a baby!! That's right. After two weeks, we ALL slept through the night last night. Whoo hoo!! I am crossing my fingers that it continues now. :)

There they are....Three bottles of prescriptions for three little girls.

I have really nothing else to say, except---yay for 3 girls that are starting to feel better and yay for sleep! :)

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

oy!

I am so glad that we are starting a new week. Last week was pretty horrible, to say the least. Eva had that nasty barking croup cough, sore throat and a fever of 102.2. She was MISERABLE! I have never seen any of my kids that sick. The girl hardly got up--not even to go to the bathroom. We had to make her go to the bathroom or carry her there. She was camped out on the couch for from Sunday until Thursday. She didn't sleep at all--and I am not exaggerating. She was up every hour crying because of her fever and her sore throat. Around Wednesday and Thursday she was starting to hallucinate because of the lack of she was having. At one point during the middle of  night I told her to take a drink of her water, and she grabbed her bunny and tilted it, as to drink it. Poor girl....

So I wrote that top half at the begining of the week. Eva is getting better, but I now have the other two girls sick. I think Isa maybe coming to the end of it, and we may not even have to take her to the doc. Lucia, is a couple days in and has been pulling on her ears, so we may have to get her checked out. I feel like this winter has been terrible for the kids---always sick. I am exhausted! One or both of the girls are up at least a couple times a night these past two weeks. Most of the time 5 times per night. Ugh! I am so ready for the warm weather so I can open up the windows and air out this place.

Alight, time to pass out the tylenol. Hopefully we'll be better soon so I can take some pics of my little ladies! :)

Blogging

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give you a heads up. I have finally finished my Selena Marie Photography blog. That means this blog is going to be more or less my "personal" blog. All of my shoots will be posted over there and I will try to post my photo-a-day to both blogs. So if you would like to stay up to date with SMP and my shoots, bookmark it or add it to Google Reader (or whatever you use.)  Here is a screen shot of the SMP blog. :)

Have a great day everyone!

-Nina (Selena)

quick picture post

Yesterday evening I had another shoot with another blue eyed cutie. He is such an adorable guy and he has such a sweet and pleasant disposition. Mom said he may have some teething going on, but I think he did pretty well for having that kind of thing bothering him. Oh yes,  and I must say he has the cutest belly ever. :) Here is a peek from the shoot yesterday.

ALright, I am going to go enjoy the weather that we are having today! Isn't it wonderfuL?!?!

Have a great weekend everyone!! :)

Recent Session and random things

I had a session on Friday with one of the cutest blue-eyed babe ever! You have to check out her peeper!!

 She's adorable, right?!?!

Sooo....I am gonna have to say  sorry for the randomness and bouncing all over the place in this post. I don't know what I ate, but I am practically bouncing off the walls. OH, I know what it was...it was syrup. Yep, we had pancakes this morning. Anyway, I am sorry in advance. :)
Do any of you watch American Idol? Of course right--yeah, I know--what was I thinking. Anyway, did you see that guy, the funny one last night. I can't remember his name--but I was laughing so hard at him! His singing was really kind of awful, but he was entertaining. Yes, I know it's a singing show--blah blah blah! Singing show, shinging show, it's all been done before. I want to see someone unique! Oh yeah, that 16 year old girl with RED hair was good too, but not as entertaining. Speaking of entertaining, my girls have REALLY been into wiggles lately. They have a new guy in yellow named Sam, and the girls love him. The show is actually better too. I have Wiggle songs in my head all the time now. Oh you know what other songs are in my head--Handy Manny! "You break it, we fix it..." you know that one? Crazy good, I just might have to get those songs on my ipod. For the girls of course, not me. :)

Tonight we are going to Disney on Ice. The girls are pretty excited! We are only taking Eva and Isabel, and Aunt Amanda is watching Lulu. (Thanks Amanda!) We would take her, but I am afraid it would be a bit crazy with 3 kids (3 and under) all of which don't like LOUD sounds. But, Eva and Bel are excited which makes me pretty excited for them! :)

OK, now Facebook. are you all on facebook? OH.My.Word. It's insanely addicting, am I right? Really, I'm not sure why, but it sucks you in. I have a lot of family on FB from differnt parts of the state and country, and it's fun to see what they are up to and how their kids are doing. Also friends from from school that I haven't seen in forever. I recently signed up my hubby, and I'm pretty sure he is addicted too. He likes to say he's not, but I know he is!! :) If you're on FB, find me and say howdy. :)

Eva went on a field trip to El Rancho on Tuesday, which BTW is a nice place. They toured the kitchen and had class  there in the restaurant. They made tacos, but Eva informed me that they weren't real, they were made out of paper. But she had a lot of fun. The people that worked there that thought it was neat to see all the kids learning spanish. We are gonna have to eat there sometime. I have heard lots of good things about it from a bunch of people. I think Eva would like going back too, since she is like an "expert"  tour guide of the place. If you go there, you have to check out the chairs. I love them!! SO colorful!!

I getting a bit tired now. That syrup didn't last long...;-) I hope you all are having a good week. All of you with babes in your belly--keep up the great work!! :)

Nina Out!

Photo a day (kind of) feb. 14-20

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I don't know about you, but it went by to fast. We spent most of the weekend painting the house. We are finished for the most part. The only thing we have to do is the closet in the foyer and Eva & Isabel's room, but that will be a piece of cake compared to out upstairs living area. :) The girls, of course, picked pink for their room color. I wasn't expecting anything different. Eva is pretty excited, so we'll probably do that soon. I told dino that I should take before pictures, but I never did. So you're gonna have to image EVERYTHING a very light ivory. :) It's nice to have color in the house now!! Wow, what a difference!

OK, so here are some photos. Some photo of the day photos (which I was TERRIBLE at last week) and some house photos. :)

Feb. 14--My niece Emma eating cake. :)

Feb.14--"B" smirking at the camera. :)

 Feb.16--Bel saying "cheese"

Feb. 17--Daddy and Bel giving Eskimo kisses

Feb. 19--Lulu and her pouting her lips. :)

Feb. 19--Eva playing dress up. The girls LIVE in their dress up clothes. :)

Feb. 19--Bel showing me her bitty baby dish soap.....which....

Feb. 19--...doubles as frosting for her cookies. :)

Ok, so this is the color now and before. Everything in the foyer and livingroom is that camel/goldish/yellow color.

This is when it was ALMOST done.We are actually thinking about painting that white closet red. Not sure which shade, but that is what we are planning on doing. Our doors no longer match, so we are gonna have to paint those  this spring. :)

Kitchen--blue/grey walls

Dining area. See Isabel at her art table? :)

I'll have to take more pictures soon. :) I better go check on the girls playing in the play room downstairs. You know when they're quite, they are most likely being naughty. :)

This week and photo-a-day

Yay, it's Friday!!! This week was a bit crazy. Monday, I met with a friend over coffee to talk about Lightroom and photoshop. Tuesday, I had a commercial shoot, wait in line to sign up Eva for spanish immersion preschool, and then meet a photog friend that evening. Wednesday, was kind of low key but I tried to get a couple of albums done and church stuff done. Thursday, I had to wait in line AGAIN to sign up Isabel for spanish immersion 3's school. We got what we wanted!! YAY!! Now the Bel just needs to start going potty on the toilet. She will ask SOMETIMES, but could care less other times. She wants big girl undies, but pees in them and won't even say anything. Anyway, ew need to fix that before she starts school next year. :) Today Eva was the Estrella (star, in spanish) so I helped out in the room. I always bring my camera, but SO much is going on in those couple hours, that I don't have time to even look at my camera. We had fun though, and it is so cool to see those kids singing in spanish and understand what the teacher is saying. I, on the other hand have NO IDEA! :)

Tonight, we are picking out paint colors for our house and out to dinner. Saturday we have a birthday/Valentine's day party, so that will be fun. :)

As for photo-a-day. Here they are. :)

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Funny story

SO, I had to run to Office Max to get a few things. Which BTW, that place will rob you blind---holy cow! Anyway, I went there with just Lucia and she fell asleep while we were shopping. The nice lady at the counter took my money and out we went to the van. I get to the van---Lucia is still sleeping, thank goodness, and there are about four kids on the car next to me laughing and yelling. They had to be 10ish or so--Anyway, I can here them CRACKING UP and then the started to beep the horn. All the while, I am pressing the unlock button on my key chain to unlock the door because 1.) it's cold, and 2.) Lucia is still sleeping and I would rather her stay sleeping. So here I am holding the car seat, getting frustrated because the kids are being loud and I can't get into the stinkin van. SO, for some reason, I glanced into the drivers side window and noticed that my coat is not on the passenger side seat, and my hot chocolate cup is not in the cup holder. THen a light bulb went off.......that was not my van and the kids were beeping the horn and laughing because they knew that is not my vehicle. I parked in the row BEHIND that van. OH the embarrasment!!!

So I QUICKLY walked to MY van, when I was yet embarrassed again. An older gentleman, who was in line after me, came out and said, "Ha ha ha.... There are so many vans like that around here, isn't there?" My face must have been so red! It was nice of him to try to make me feel better, but I was so embarassed that someone else saw me trying to "break in" to another van. :)

Ahhhh......such is life. :) Live and learn.

Photos of the week...

So, I missed another day this week. It's not that I forget, but sometimes it just seems life gets in the way. I was going to pull out my camera at storytime--right before bed. Then Lucia was hungry and crabby, so I didn't have time. I guess I could have just taken a shot of her crying...maybe next time that is what I'll do. :) Thanks for helping me solve my problem. :)

Anyway, her are the pics I have from this past week--including today. :)

Jan. 16--Lucia right before nap ( or lack of lately)

Jan. 17--Eva loving on her daddy. :) She loves when he is home on the weekends!

Jan. 18-Snow....Lots and lots of snow! I love it!!

Jan 19--oops!

Jan.20--Lucia nice and clean. Nothing is better than a clean baby. They slell so good!

Jan. 21--Princess Ariel (Eva)

Jan. 22-Yummy Raspberries

Jan. 23--Lucia looking at a book in her room. Gotta start that early. ;-)

Ok, have an AMAZING weekend everyone!

P.S.--Do you ever notice how often I use explanation points?? A lot right!?!?!

--Selena OUT!--

Do you like raspberries?

Me too...

Random??? ---Sure is! :)

Can you tell that they are sisters?

A couple weeks ago we were looking at some old video that I had taken on of the girls.Well, it actually was a video of Eva when she was around 6/7months old--Lucia's age right now. I never really thought our kids look that much alike until I saw that---holy cow! Lucia looks SO MUCH like Eva. Dino actually thought that we were watching a recent video of Lucia. :) Anyway, so I thought I would  compare pictures. Can you tell that they are sisters or what?

Eva was obviously a bit heavier as a baby, but for the most part they look pretty close don't ya think? I can't help but laugh when I see that photo of Eva. Her thighs are so chubby...well what isn't in that baby photo. I LOVE it!! Ahh, they grow so fast....

Photo a day (Jan. 9-15)

Yay, it's Friday!! Not that we have a ton going on, but it's always nice to have my husband here during the day on the weekends. I have not been feeling well at ALL the last couple of days. I think I am finally coming to the end of that nasty flu. It was the second time I have had it, and it is not fun. I just wanted to curl up in my bed and sleep. The girls were really troopers with me being sick. Well, at least the older two. :) Lucia didn't know the difference, so she was her normal short napping self. :) She has had a little bit of a cold too, and for a while I thought maybe she was getting or had an ear infection because she was playing with her ears so much. She still has a runny nose, but seems fine otherwise. I love all this snow that we have, but I don't enjoy all the illnesses that always seem to come with this weather.

OK, so here are my photos that I have taken this week. I forgot to do one on Monday already. Oops! So I posted a couple other photos from this week. :)

Friday-Eva brushing her teeth in the mirror

Saturday-Baby G at the Kraal Christmas/New Year Party

Sunday-The fake snowman in the snow at Dino's parents house

Monday-Oops!

Tuesday-Eva in my face again, wanting we to take her picture. :) Gotta love her!

Wednesday-Isabel had an appt. with her foot doc. She has terribly flat feet and she is getting inserts made for her shoes.

Thursday-Lucia didn't sleep very well, but she was blowing kisses. :) I just happen to catch her right in the middle of a kiss. :)

Wednesday(b)-Bel waiting for the Dr.

Thursday(b)-Lucia. See her teeth??

 Have a great weekend everyone!
